In the previous two articles, we discussed the biodegradable materials PLLA and PCL.

This time, we will discuss the third type of biodegradable material---- hydroxyapatite (CaHA).

The core component of CaHA is hydroxyapatite microspheres. Its mineral composition is highly similar to that of human bones and teeth, resulting in excellent biocompatibility and no significant inflammation or rejection reactions. Clinically, it is used to improve moderate to severe facial wrinkles and tissue volume loss.

CaHA utilizes a composite structure of "microspheres + carrier gel." The microspheres act as the core functional unit, while the carrier gel provides immediate filling after injection. Together, they achieve a dual improvement effect. CaHA microspheres improve skin condition through a dual mechanism.

The carrier gel quickly fills facial depressions and alleviates moderate to severe wrinkles. Simultaneously, the microspheres, acting as small mechanical scaffolds, directly contact fibroblasts, activating cell activity and promoting collagen and elastic fiber regeneration and neovascularization. This deeply repairs the skin's supporting structure, achieving a synergistic effect of immediate wrinkle filling and long-lasting anti-aging and skin texture improvement.
